There was a ‘tempest in a teapot’ the last week or so about the ANH’s use of WTI reference points for the Permanent Assignment Process. The ‘usual’ way of talking about prices in Colombia is Brent. But the bulk of Colombian crude is much heavier than either. The country has its ‘own’ blends but the one that we can get data on is Vasconia.
