Offshore Caribbean gas could have started reaching Colombia’s system as early as 2028, according to GeoPark president Felipe Bayón, who said Ecopetrol conducted preliminary studies toward that timeline following the 2022 Uchuva discovery, before changes to the team working on it pushed estimates back to 2031-2032.
